Center for Medicare & Medicaid services Leadership & Development with Quality Improvement Agencies

This program seeks to create strong “back-bone” leaders that will support a multi-stakeholder, community-based approach to healthcare quality improvement. During the first year of this engagement, our primary goals were:

• To create a first tier group of QIN-QIO leaders who have elected to embrace our tools and framework to accomplish their aims.

• To develop a frontline coaching team at the NCC that works alongside RTH to support our joint program offerings to the QIN-QIO’s through an extensive coaching and leadership development process.

We sought to accomplish these goals through the creation and launch of a web-based, distance- learning program (titled Leadership Organizing and Action-“LOA”) whose participants were comprised of representatives from each QIN and representatives from each state. We also developed a coaches training program that intended to train new coaches from the NCC to support our joint offerings.
