Development of the Compound Solar Cell

Project involved design of a new solar cell device architecture to overcome the brittle fracture of solution-processed perovskite solar cells. Achieved increasing the fracture resistance of this fragile solution processed technology by over 3000% by partitioning a conventional monolithic perovskite solar cell into a mechanically shielded micro-cell array without loss of perovskite efficiency.
