EduGorilla is a Lucknow-based EdTech startup started in December 2016. The start-up holds India’s largest directory of educational institutions, with more than 840,000 schools and 60,000 coaching institutes. Recently EduGorilla launched a bilingual app to provide comprehensive and innovative test series for over 450 competitive exams. The app is named ‘EduGorilla’ and is available in both English and Hindi to help the students learn and practice in the language of their choice. It is spilt across a vast range of exams like Engineering, Civil Services, Medical, Banking, SSC, RRB, Defence, placement papers as well as school-level exams. The launch of the app, especially in Hindi is a milestone for the company as well as the Indian education industry. It has not only raised the bars for its competitors but also forayed to shelter many uncovered exams. There has always been a dearth of relevant and pertinent study material for competitive exams in vernacular languages and reliable channels for preparation of the same. In such a scenario, the ‘EduGorilla’ app not only offers effective content for regional exams but also provides vernacular modules to access them. The app offers sectional divisions to help the students grasp every topic with accuracy and asses their expertise. It leverages emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to create an ideal learning platform for students. As such, the app auto-tunes itself according to the performance of the students and auto-generates customized tests. EduGorilla plans to launch this app in 8 other languages in the near future i.e., Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil, Telegu, Kantionary nad, Malayalam, Odia and Punjabi Objectives of the EduGorilla App • Ease the study methodology for students and help them establish a firm hold upon various exams • Help the examinee gain confidence in his area of study and identify his strong and weak areas • Cater to a wider section of the student community by dodging the language barriers Features of the EduGorilla App
