Formula SAE

enn State Racing SAE Club won the 33rd place out of 120 teams in the 2015 Formula SAE Competition, a international level student design competition organized by the SAE International, held in Michigan. At this competition, teams from all over the world are judged in both static and dynamic events including: cost, design, business, acceleration, autocross, and a grueling endurance race. The competition provides students with an opportunity to apply their engineering, organizational, and communication skills in an industry-like setting.

My main role in the project involves designing and manufacturing the exhaust prototypes.

We first modeled the headers using the icengineworks kit (blue headers). Once modeled, we cut out sections of steel bends and tacked and welded them together according to the modeled header.
