Projects

Research Project at the Blizard Institute, QMUL

During my PhD project entitled ‘Influence of dietary interventions upon platelet reactivity and lipidome’ I will employ in in vitro tests on human and mouse platelets, following by ex vivo tests on samples from healthy volunteers and mice receiving dihomo-γ-linoleic acid supplementation. In 2018, I will participate at a 4-months secondment at UCD to perform lipidomics analyses of platelet releasates. As a Marie Curie Early Stage Researcher and part of EVOluTION, a pioneering network within the EU that will focus on endogenous protective mechanisms, I will partake in international conferences and will be exposed to different research/training environments and cultures with focus on translational medicine.
