Spearheaded creation of PMO team within Global Risk & Analytics

To address large regulatory changes in the financial services industry the bank was required to implement statistical processes and measurements to prove they were in compliance with the newly issued regulatory mandates, “CECL”. I was hired to support the sr. executive leaders and implement program governance and rigor for this high exposure multi-yr cross functional initiative.

This included:

  • Hiring a team of 7 people with diverse skills, allowing them to lead multiple projects with dissimilar areas of focus while ensuring they understood their dependency on each other and the contribution to the greater effort.

    **The Newly hired Project Managers with in Program: **
    • Defined large technology target state infrastructure project.

      • Manged the progress for multiple consumer risk statistical model development projects across the full consumer portfolio
      • Managed the progress for data sourcing to support the previously mentioned efforts end-to-end
      • Managed the progress for the regulatory documentation describing the approach to all of the efforts that would lead to satisfying the mandates.
  • Establishing program governance in an area of the company that has not previously participated or wished to participate in program/project governance.
  • Creating meeting cadence and steering committee roles and responsibilities
