The Identity Toolkit, which serves as Stanford’s style guide, is the visual brand documentation for the University; it is a key resource for providing leadership on visual communications standards. After researching it’s efficacy on campus, I saw an opportunity for improvement, and rebuilt the Identity Toolkit with a new architecture and rewritten content.

This redesign represents a shift from enforcement to facilitation by explaining the reasons behind design decisions and sharing design best practices in addition to documenting visual design standards. Since launch, it has reduced support requests by 75%.
