Back End Web Developer

We are an innovator in the craft cocktail space building the coolest thing since (insert favorite cheesy reference here.) We are in the start-up / sweat equity phase, currently in stealth mode. Given that many people are home, we are scouring hire club for a great fit for the technical team! Stipend available.

We are looking for a Back-End Web Developer to lead in the creation of our flagship web application. Your primary focus will be development of all data models, server-side logic, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by your coworkers into the application. A basic understanding of front-end technologies is therefore necessary as well.

Responsibilities Designing and building data models Developing server side logic Building reusable code and libraries for future use Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability Implementation of security and data protection Integration of user-facing elements developed by a front-end developers with server side logic

Skills And Qualifications High degree of proficiency with a server side programming language, such as python, PHP, or Ruby Experience with Django, Rails, or a similar MVC framework Experience with MySQL or a comparable SQL database Experience with git or similar version control system Experience with database administration and scaling an application to support load changes Basic understanding of linux and web server architecture Basic understanding of front-end technologies and platforms, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
